PermitRite FIELD GUIDE
Build a document register
Keep the document version, source, and next action visible.
Name the document
Use a consistent title and date for plans, forms, supporting records, and correspondence. Record the issuing professional or authority where relevant.
Track the version
Avoid submitting an outdated drawing or form. Note which version was submitted and where the official confirmation is stored.
Record prerequisites
Ask whether one review, approval, or professional document is needed before another submission. Do not infer the sequence from an unrelated project.
Protect the records
Keep sensitive property, identity, and financial records in appropriate storage. Use the authority’s approved submission channel.
Keep the conversation grounded.
